We had attempted the drive over Beartooth Pass, from Montana into Wyoming, back in October 2014, but were disappointed to have to turn back due to early season heavy snow....not this time though....and what an adventure....!

Bighorn Canyon is one of the less visited parks in Wyoming, often overlooked with many peoples focus towards the big ticket items of Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons...they don't know what they are missing!

For those of you not so familiar with the opening out of the "Wild West" during the second half of the 19th century, then you may not have appreciated how this amazing character had such an impact on the development of the country....read on...

We had of course visited Wyoming before...but it was a brief skirmish, and the majority of the time had been in the north of the state in Yellowstone on our first roam with Big Henry, back in October 2014. This time we planned to really do some more in depth exploring.

It's been a long, long time inbetween EarthRoamers travel posts... apologies to all our family, friends, fellow bloggers and website followers for our absence...but now we are back!

Introducing our new steed...."Little Henrietta". Your first real look at all she has to offer both inside and out....and just how beautiful she is!

From Lochmoidart on the west coast we make our way across to The Cairngorms following the Caledonian Canal to Inverness and then south via Aviemore to our cottage at Ardblair Castle.

So then...what do you do when the weather conspires against you and your walk partner is invalided out and unable to hike...you go and get stoned of course...that's "Pictish Stoned!"

The second half of our week based at Ardblair Castle near Blairgowrie, exploring the Cairngorms region.

Here is the second part of our week exploring the Lochmoidart area of the west coast of Scotland. More hikes, more wonderful scenery and more surprises are in store.
